CGN Advisors is an independent, fee-only financial planning and investment management firm headquartered in Manhattan, KS with offices located around the country. This is a new position working directly with the Managing Principal – Investments (Chief Investment Officer) with significant growth opportunities for the right candidate to learn and grow into a senior portfolio management position for the firm.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for daily trading activity for the firm.
• Manage client portfolios in accordance with assigned investment strategy.
• Prepare portfolio analysis for current and prospective clients as appropriate.
• Work with lead advisors to develop client specific implementation.
• Proactively engage with lead advisors to build relationships/trust and support business development.
• Monitor portfolio performance to ensure accuracy.
• Contribute to firm investment strategy, performing research on asset classes and investment solutions, including but not limited to, ETFs/Mutual Funds, individual stocks /bonds, and private investments.
• Clearly communicate in person and via written materials: firm investment strategies, current views/outlook, model updates and portfolio activity to advisors, clients, and prospects as appropriate.
• Prepare client deliverables as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Personal Financial Planning or equivalent degree. (required)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in investment management, portfolio analysis or trading. (required)
• Currently hold or working towards the CFA, CFP, CIMA, AIF or equivalent designation. (preferred)
• Candidates with more experience will also be considered for a more senior role.

Compensation & benefits

• Compensation range expected to be between $60,000 and $120,000 depending on experience and qualifications, including a fixed base plus variable compensation (percentage of firm revenue).

CGN Advisors is an independent, fee-only financial planning and investment management firm headquartered in Manhattan, KS with offices located around the country.  We are looking for an Associate for our Operations division.  The Associate will primarily be responsible for the operations and administrative function for investment management services for multiple local and national advisors. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform investment account opening process
• Ongoing account administration
• Facilitate cash needs
• Communicate with advisors
• Navigate CRM, performance reporting & billing software, and custodial systems

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Good communication skills with a positive attitude
• General proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Adobe, and Zoom

Compensation & benefits

• Compensation range expected to be between $35,000 and $50,000 depending on experience and qualifications, including a fixed base plus variable compensation (percentage of firm revenue).

Role and Responsibilities

• Account processing including opening investment accounts, facilitating cash needs, assisting clients with technology, and ongoing account administration
• Input data into financial planning software and help advisors with planning analysis
• Link software and help manage client account links
• Prepare client deliverables as needed
• Assist Enrolled Agent with tax return preparation (tax intern)
• Organize and file client tax information (tax intern)
• Assist in imputing information into tax software (tax intern)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Enrolled in Personal Financial Planning Program, Accounting, or Business program

Compensation & benefits

• Compensation range expected to be between $12-$14/hr to start with possible pay increases after the first semester (if applicable)
